Stéphane Clor : amplified double bass

Perturbation Locomotive is a amplified double bass solo played with the bow. It aims to be immersive and use repetition like in trance music, with the goal of modifying the state of listening and make appear voices which are not played but come out because of harmonics’ interferences.

Perturbation Locomotive est un projet solo répétitif et minimaliste. Il se base à la fois sur des notes répétées et riches en harmoniques ainsi que sur l’acoustique des lieux afin de créer des interférences entre le son direct et le son réverbéré de la contrebasse. Ces perturbations créent alors des résultantes qui sont comme une mélodie qui n’est pas jouée mais que l’on entend pourtant.
